Law Enforcement Award
The Fox Valley chapter is proud to present the Law Enforcement Commendation Award to the members in Police Departments or Sheriff’s Offices in our area as listed below.
Harry Reineke, Chairman - Law Enforcement Commendation committee, determines the recipients.
The purpose of the program is to recognize an outstanding member of the law enforcement community who has served with distinction and devotion. There are no specific standards and the chapter solicits recommendations from our members. The award is usually presented at one of our dinner meetings.

The award consists of an embossed Law Enforcement Commendation Certificate, a handsome Law Enforcement Commendation Medal and an enameled bar suitable for wear on a uniform.

Matt Clark, Mike Campagnolo, and Ted Miller from the Sons of the American Revolution Fox Valley Chapter honored Naperville police officers Courtney Madden, Mark Schumacher, and Allison Simko on March 7, 2024 at the Naperville Police Department headquarters. Read story in the Daily Herald.
Chapter color guard commander Jon Fixmer & former chapter presidents Mike Campagnolo and Rod Herbig presented Heroism and Police Awards to Deputy Jason Larsen, Deputy Zachary Tongate and Deputy Tyler Johnson of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office for work above and beyond the call of duty saving the lives of three different citizens.

Aurora Chief of Police William Powell is flanked by officers William Sullivan and Glenda VanHorn at our dinner meeting on October 28, 2007. Bruce Talbot presented Law Enforcement medals to officers Sullivan and VanHorn for rescuing a 14 year-old boy out of the Fox River. Aurora recognized them as employees of the month in June 2007.
